The rental housing developer and owner-operator Mill Creek Residential has broken ground at Modera Woodmont Beach, a contemporary mixed-use development along the Pacific Highway in Des Moines, Washington, located 20 miles south of Downtown Seattle.
According to the company, Modera Woodmont Beach will feature 290 homes and 7,500 square feet of retail space. Select homes will offer private patios or balconies, chef’s islands with storage and pendant lighting.
Community amenities will include a resort-style swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor deck, grilling area, outdoor dining, resident clubhouse, coffee bar, dog park, children’s playground and a club-quality fitness studio. Residents will also have access to a coworking lounge with private workstations, package storage and gated parking with EV-charging stations. The community will be built to, and is pursuing, an NGBS Bronze certification.
First move-ins are anticipated for the summer of 2027.
“Modera Woodmont Beach is ideally located within walking distance of the newly opened Star Lake light rail station, providing access to the area’s primary employment centers,” said Meredith Holzemer, managing director of development in Seattle for Mill Creek Residential. “The community’s high-quality finishes, larger home sizes and modern aesthetic will make it a refined and premier living option for prospects in the area.”
