The National Park Service has issued a Request for Proposals (RFPs) to lease three historic properties within Massachusetts’ Cape Cod National Seashore (CCNS).
The properties are located within CCNS park boundaries in Wellfleet and Truro and are being offered under a minimum lease term of 10 years. Proposals can be made for one, two, or all three of the properties, although preference may be given to proposals that include all three properties.
“Each property will require significant initial improvement,” said the service in its announcement. “These properties are not open to the public. Appointment-only site tours will be held on Wednesdays between Aug. 12 and Sept. 23, 2026. If you are interested in viewing a property, please email [email protected] to request an appointment.”
Proposals must be submitted by Nov. 1 at 5:00 pm ET.
The properties include the Anthony and Allison Sirna Studio, an approximately 746 square-foot artist’s studio built in 1961 and situated on a one-acre lot; the Ahearn House, a historic 19th-century property consisting of a timber-framed Cape house and an adjoining summer cottage; and the Jedediah Higgins House, an approximately 1,977-square-foot “full Cape” house constructed in the 19th century and situated on three acres.
