Now, here’s something we don’t see every day – a real estate agent who is also a reality television star hiring a new agent who is also a reality television star.

People.com reports Tyler Cameron, who came to prominence through “The Bachelorette,” has been hired as an agent by “Owning Manhattan” star Ryan Serhant’s eponymous brokerage. Cameron, who is also a real estate investor and the head of his own construction business, will be based out of Serhant’s office in Jupiter, Florida.

“I just think there’s no better leader,” Cameron said about Serhant, who recalled his transition into becoming a real estate agent occurred when friends kept asking him to recommend properties.

“It just hit me one day,” he continued. “I was like, ‘Why don’t I just do this?’ So I was like, ‘I’m going to get my license.’ I had a conversation with Ryan. We had breakfast one day, and Ryan was like, ‘You would crush it in this industry. You need to get your license, and we need to get to this.’”

Serhant stated that Cameron’s visibility from “The Bachelorette” will work to his advantage.

“When you are an agent and you’re helping people buy and sell homes, people aren’t coming to you to buy a home – they’re coming to you to buy a home from you,” Serhant said. “So, your ability to build a platform and brand awareness goes a long, long way in our business.”

Serhant added that he planned to include Cameron in the third season of his “Owning Manhattan” Netflix series.
