According to new data from the Miami Association of Realtors, Chinese buyers generated the most global web searches for Miami-based residential properties during April.
China accounted for 9.44% of all international searches on MiamiRealtors.com last month, a significant uptick from its 5.49% share of searches in April 2022.
“Miami, a young major city in comparison to New York and Los Angeles, is building its link to Asia,” said Ines Hegedus-Garcia, board chairperson of the realtors’ group. “Chinese buyers, who rank among the top foreign buyers of U.S. real estate, are searching Miami properties. Now, it’s a matter of turning more of those searches into purchases. The launch of a direct Miami to Asia flight, which the county has been working on for years, would be a boon for both regions.”
Colombia was a tight second to China in searches for Miami properties, with a 9.42% share on online research last month. Rounding out the top five were Germany (8.94%), Venezuela (6.27%) and Argentina (5.83%).
Closer to home, Texas led the states searching MiamiRealtors.com for property, followed by Georgia, California, North Carolina and Ohio.
Not as of July 1st!!!
Well, unfortunately, Florida has changed the rules for Chinese citizens, just to name a few. Maybe the lawsuit filed will throw out the governor’s law.
Why in the world would we
( America) want to encourage an uptick in searches or purchases in Florida or any US State to a country that has such distain for most everything we stand for in the USA?
I 100% agree. Why are we selling Realesate to the number one country who is trying to overtake our country. To me this is insane. In other countries they dont just sell off their land to people from other countries. It’s not allowed. Are we so greedy to allow this and so ignorant to what is going on that we are just allowing this. Think we aren’t safe now? Wow!!! And I am a Real estate agent watching this happen. Someone in our government needs to handle this immediately.
Coincidentally this headline and the story coincide with the new limitations imposed by the state, aiming multiple countries, but the main targe was China. Chines have not been and will not be relevant to the FLorida real estate market. Without a doubt they are major players in New York and California. But not in Florida. Do not attempt to start this narrative now. It will sound like paid PR by interested parties.
