The suburban Chicago house that was used as the setting of the 1990 comedy film classic “Home Alone” has been listed for sale at $5.25 million.
The Wall Street Journal reported the redbrick Georgian residence in Winnetka, Illinois, still attracts fans of the movie who take pictures outside of the half-acre property. The 9,126-square-foot residence was built in 1921 and features five bedrooms, six baths and a seven-seat screening room.
The property last changed hands in 2012 for $1.58 million. The current owners, Tim and Trisha Johnson, enacted renovations in much of the house, although they opted to retain the famous exterior and the central staircase where young Macaulay Culkin went sledding in the beloved film.

The whole front yard has been transformed to a pretty, but unrecognizable state, including a entrance gate. No doubt they tired of every Tom, Dick, and Harry, posing for pictures outside.
