Illinois recorded 9,950 homes sales in November, up 2.8% from the 9,681 sold one year earlier. According to data from Illinois Realtors, the 20,863 homes available for sale statewide last month represented a 2.3% increase from the 20,401 available homes in November 2023.
November’s monthly median price of $285,024 was 7.5% higher than the $265,000 price from the prior year.
In the nine-county Chicago Metro Area, November’s home sales totaled 6,548 homes sold, a 2.9% increase from the 6,365 sales one year before, while the median price of a home in the Chicago Metro Area was $347,500, up 7.8% from the $322,250 in November 2023.
