The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced the nomination of John Hedlund as its vice chairman for the 2026 membership year.

Hedlund is vice chairman of ICE Mortgage Technology and has been active within the MBA as a member of its board of directors, as board chairman of MISMO, and as chairman of MBA’s Residential Board of Governors. He is also a board member and past chairman of the California Mortgage Bankers Association, and is an advisory board member for Automated Mortgage Systems Inc. and FundingShield LLC.

Hedlund also co-founded and served as managing director and chief operating officer at AmeriHome Mortgage Company, where he helped lead the company’s sale to Western Alliance Bank in 2021. He also founded and led of Adanac Advisors Group, a boutique advisory and consulting firm.

Hedlund will be installed as vice chairman at MBA’s 112th Annual Convention and Expo in Las Vegas this October. Per MBA’s bylaws, after serving a year as vice chairman, Hedlund will become chairman-elect in the 2027 membership year and chairman in 2028.
