The Dallas-based apartment developer JPI has hired Jay Parsons as an economic advisor.
Parsons is the head of investment strategy at Madera Residential in Lubbock, Texas – he will retain that job and work with JPI on a part-time basis. Parsons also hosts The Rent Roll podcast and publishes the Rental Housing Economics newsletter.
Earlier in his career, he was senior vice president and chief economist at RealPage. Before working in real estate, he was a reporter for the Dallas Morning News.
“Jay brings more than economic expertise – he brings a profound understanding of the intricate dynamics that drive the rental housing market,” said JPI Chief Financial and Investment Officer Mollie Fadule. “His ability to integrate data with strategic vision will enhance JPI’s approach to navigating the complexities of today’s multifamily housing landscape.”
