Fannie Mae (OTCQB: FNMA) announced the appointment of Chief Operating Officer Peter Akwaboah as acting CEO. He replaces Priscilla Almodovar, who served as chief executive since her appointment by then-President Biden in 2022 and took on the additional title of president in 2024.

Brandon Hamara and John Roscoe were named co-presidents of Fannie Mae. Hamara is currently vice president at Tri Pointe Homes while Rosco is Fannie Mae’s executive vice president of operations and public relations.

All three appointments went into effect immediately.

In a press statement, Bill Pulte, who serves as both chairman of the Fannie Mae board of directors and as its regulator in his capacity as director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, said in a statement that the government-sponsored enterprise now has “a deep bench of three experienced leaders at the very top of Fannie Mae. This means a safer, sounder Fannie Mae, all while growing our great Fortune 25 company.”
