Walker & Dunlop Inc. (NYSE:WD) has hired Warren Horvath as a managing director, with the responsibility of sourcing non-low income housing tax credit and programmatic joint-venture equity for affordable housing owners and operators.

According to the Bethesda, Maryland-based company, Horvath has overseen or been directly involved in more than $9 billion of housing transactions, representing over 75,000 units. He joins Walker & Dunlop from CBRE, where he was senior vice president for capital markets advisory and affordable housing. Earlier in his career, he was head of capital markets at The Michaels Organization, director of acquisitions at Continental Realty Group and president of Mercy Community Capital.
