Zillow Group (NASDAQ:Z, ZG) has acquired Aryeo, a Boston-headquartered real estate media software and content management platform for photographers and media companies.
Aryeo was founded in 2019 by former real estate photographers Branick Weix, Matthew Michalski and Brendan Quinlan as a tool to provide home sellers with rich listing media. In a press statement, Zillow said Aryeo’s focus “mission makes it a natural fit with ShowingTime+, Zillow Group’s real estate software brand dedicated to improving the real estate industry for agents, brokers and MLSs, and the customers they serve. Bringing Aryeo into the ShowingTime+ suite enables the brand to serve photographers and media companies directly and invest in the tools they need to create elevated, immersive home shopping experiences for real estate agents and consumers.”
The terms of the acquisition were not announced by the companies, although the Boston Business Journal put the transaction at $35 million. Earlier this year, Zillow’s ShowingTime+ launched two products for listing preparation and marketing – Listing Media Services and Listing Showcase. Aryeo will continue to operate as an independent platform within ShowingTime+, and Aryeo’s privacy policy will remain in place.
There are no monopoly protections left in this country. If we were all smart as realtors, we would put a stop to this massive growth. All they do is take our information we all pay for and spew it out for free on the Internet. Now they’re merging with redfin as well on construction endeavors. Way too much much.
