To make the transition much easier, new executive leaders must communicate their values effectively in order to establish clear expectations and boundaries. However, staying true to yourself, offering your new subordinates a safe space to share their suggestions or concerns is also key. Managers who lean in to support employee growth will offer a different perspective of upper management and employees will appreciate those efforts in the long run.
