Two regional realtor associations in Florida, the Pinellas Realtor Organization and Greater Tampa Realtors, have announced plans to merge and become Tampa Bay Realtors.
If the merger is approved by the National Association of Realtors, the combined organization will encompass more than 24,000 members in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties; it will also become the third largest local realtor association in Florida and the sixth largest association in the nation.
The chief executives of the two organizations, David Bennett in Pinellas and Jason Outman in Greater Tampa, will serve as co-CEOs while the staff of both organizations will remain in place.
“Tampa Bay Realtors will continue to bring localized services to our members while harnessing our enterprise size and scale to provide cutting-edge programs and influential advocacy,” said Brad Monroe, chairman of the unification taskforce that organized the merger.
