The family of the missing Texas real estate agent Suzanne Clark Simpson is warning the public against phony online fundraisers claiming to seek funds on behalf of her children.
The San Antonio Express News reported Simpson has four children – ages 20, 18, 15 and 5. Fundraisers claiming to have been created by Simpson’s oldest daughter and her sister popped up online after Simpson’s disappearance, but these endeavors are fakes. At least one fraudulent post on the GoFundMe platform was removed.
The only fundraiser connected to the family is on the MealTrain.com platform, which has surpassed its $60,000 goal and is still collecting funds on behalf of the Simpson children.
“To know Suzanne is to love her,” said the fundraising page. “Please help support these children during this time. They are beyond grateful and overwhelmed with the love and support the community is showing. All financial donations will go solely to support expenses for the children. Thank you.”
Simpson was last seen alive on Oct. 6 and is presumed dead by law enforcement. Her husband of 22 years, Brad Chandler Simpson, was arrested on Oct. 9 and is being held in the Bexar County jail in lieu of $3 million bail.

Abuse touches so many women, men and children. It affects young, elderly, rich ,poor and every ethnicity. You think it won’t happen in your family. It can and happened in mine. My sister was almost killed by her husband. She sustained serious injuries and survived. But what she and her children went through during the marriage. We knew it was emotionally abusive and she finally was planning her escape. But it was too late. She passed few years later from a disease. What our family has gone through. But her children are young grown ups with great careers and she is looking down and so proud.
