The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) is advertising for a new executive director.
The contract for the current executive director, Caster Binion, expires at the end of March. Binion has been at his job for more than 10 years and expressed an interest in continuing. However, WESA is reporting the agency’s board not interested in renewing Binion’s contract and has begun searching for a replacement, with a call for candidates already posted online.
“The goal is to select a leader with clear vision, a collaborative leadership style, a commitment to operational excellence, and a strong, resident-focused approach,” said Wasi Mohamed, HACP’s board chairman. “This process is designed to identify and deliver that leader, and I appreciate the board members’ diligence and commitment to this important work.”
HACP operates on a $212 million annual budget and has a 300-person workforce. The job advertisement does not list a salary range, although WESA reports Binion earned $221,080.48 in 2022.
