In brief: Dwight Capital and affiliate Dwight Investment Management reported $624 million in real estate financing closings during September 2026, including multifamily and healthcare properties.
The companies announced the monthly total October 19. It represents transactions completed in September, not $624 million in financing closed on the announcement date. The release did not disclose individual closing dates for all loans.
Apartment loans in Iowa and Texas
Among the highlighted transactions was a $60 million HUD Section 223(f) refinancing for Birchwood Grove, a 194-unit townhome community in Davenport, Iowa. The loan refinances existing debt, covers transaction costs and funds reserves while allowing the borrower to access equity.
Dwight also provided a $47 million HUD Section 221(d)(4) construction loan for The Vic at Sunterra, a planned 279-unit apartment community in Katy, Texas. The financing includes a 24-month interest-only period followed by a 40-year amortizing term, according to the announcement.
A separate $71.25 million bridge loan supported a four-property skilled-nursing portfolio with 646 beds across Colorado and Montana, including two acquisitions and two refinancings.
The three highlighted loans total $178.25 million, only part of the company’s $624 million monthly financing volume. The disclosure offers a window into how HUD-insured financing and bridge lending are being used across rental housing and healthcare properties, but it does not establish an industrywide increase in lending.
