Bilt announced October 27 that it will introduce a new Daily Rewards program for rent and mortgage payments beginning January 15, 2027, while changing the expiration rules for Bilt Cash and simplifying certain card benefits.
Under the company’s official program update, an on-time monthly housing payment will unlock a Daily Reward, as will one qualifying daily activity with a neighborhood partner. Rewards can include Bilt Points, Bilt Cash and chances at larger prizes, subject to rules that the company says it will release later.
Housing Payments at the Center
The program will apply to eligible rent and mortgage payments made using a bank account, debit card or credit card. Bilt said existing cardholders will continue earning points on rent and mortgage payments under their card terms, with Daily Rewards added on top.
Among the announced prizes are a chance to win $1 million toward buying a home and free rent or mortgage payments for a year. These are promotional prize opportunities, not guaranteed payments or mortgage assistance.
Changes to Cash and Card Benefits
Bilt Cash now expires at the end of the month 12 months after it is earned, replacing the year-end expiration structure. Hotel redemptions using Bilt Cash will shift to twice-yearly opportunities beginning January 1, 2027.
Separately, the company says its card structure will offer up to 1.25 points per dollar on eligible rent or mortgage payments, with an option for some cardholders to retain an older rewards mode by opting out before their anniversary date. Exact eligibility and limits are governed by Bilt’s card terms.
The changes illustrate growing competition to turn housing payments into rewards-earning financial activity, though rewards should not be confused with a reduction in the underlying rent or mortgage obligation.
