Alchemy Ventures, an affiliate of Alchemy Properties Inc., has acquired a 125-mixed use property in New York City’s East Village for $10.75 million.
The five-story, 9,634-square-foot mixed-use property at 151 Avenue A was built in 1900 and encompasses eight three-bedroom and two-bathroom apartments plus two ground-level retail spaces. One of the retail tenants is the new Danny & Coop’s cheesesteak shop co-owned by the Oscar-nominated actor and filmmaker Bradley Cooper.
The transaction was brokered by Joe Koicim and Matt Berger of Marcus & Millichap.
“This acquisition represents an exciting step in Alchemy Ventures’ continued growth in New York City,” said Sam Kooris, co-founder and principal at Alchemy Ventures. “151 Avenue A is a perfect example of the type of high-quality, well-located asset that aligns with our strategic vision. We look forward to adding value to this property and continuing to expand our portfolio.”
