One of the most architecturally distinctive residences in Canada has been listed for sale at $12.8 million.

Eppich House II by the prominent Canadian architect Arthur Erickson was designed in 1979 and completed in 1988. The 1.18-acre West Vancouver property is notable for its striking main house featuring floor-to-ceiling glass held between steel beams and decorated with custom-designed furniture.

Along with the four-bedroom and four-bathroom main house, the property includes a one-bedroom and one-bathroom guest house, a pool, a hot tub, reflecting ponds and a creek.

“What’s most striking about this home, beyond its unique use of steel and glass, is its timeless, functional design,” said Geoff Taylor, the Rennie’s realtor who is the listing agent. “It is remarkably livable as a contemporary home. It’s also so rare to find something this unique and iconic,” he said.
