The former Carmel-by-the-Sea, California-based home of iconic actor and director Clint Eastwood was sold for $18.55 million.

The Wall Street Journal reported the property was listed in August for $21 million by Frederick O’Such, a retired investor who bought the property from Eastwood I 1996 for about $2.25 million. Eastwood lived at the property from 1981 to 1996 and was mayor of Carmel from 1986 to 1988.

The 4,400-square-foot residence was built in 1924 and is located one block from the Pacific Ocean. It encompasses four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, and it is based in a gated 11,000-square-foot lot. The purchase price reportedly included several of the home’s custom furnishing.
