Century Communities Inc. (NYSE: CCS), a Greenwood, Colorado-headquartered homebuilder, announced that David L. Messenger is stepping down as chief financial officer on March 22 to pursue other opportunities.
Messenger became CFO in June 2013, and previously held the same position for 10 years at the multifamily real estate investment trust UDR Inc. J. Scott Dixon, the company’s assistant CFO, will take over Messenger’s role on an interim basis until a permanent successor is appointed.
“On behalf of the board of directors and our entire team, I want to thank Dave for his leadership and contributions to Century’s success,” said Dale Francescon, chairman and co-CEO. “Dave has played an important role with us over the years and has helped get us to where we are today as one of the nation’s largest homebuilders.”
