Ridgmar Mall, a 50-year-old retail center in Fort Worth, Texas, is being redeveloped into a six‑building, 930,960‑square‑foot logistics hub.
CBS News reports that Ramrock Real Estate purchased the property for an undisclosed sum and is partnering with KBC Advisors and Lincoln Property Company on the transformation. The project, called Ridgmar 30 Logistics Crossing, will serve as a center for receiving, organizing, and distributing products. The property is based at the northeast corner of Interstate 30 and State Highway 183.
“Ridgmar Logistics Crossing represents an exceptional opportunity to deliver institutional-quality logistics space in one of Fort Worth’s most strategic locations,” said Tom Kuhlmann, executive vice president of industrial for Lincoln Property Company. “The combination of location, scale, and market demand positions this project to become a premier logistics destination that will serve North Texas for decades.”
The enclosed Ridgmar Mall opened in 1976 with Dillard’s, JCPenney, and Neiman Marcus as the original anchor stores; Sears opened an additional anchor store one year later. JCPenney is the last remaining anchor store at the mall and is slated to shut down operations in November.
