Hunt Communities announced the groundbreaking of its new master-planned community, Verdancia, in Horizon City, Texas, east of El Paso.
According to the company, the 770-acre community will include approximately 2,400 single-family home lots, with homes expected to be available by mid-2026. There will also be dedicated space for up to 400 apartment units, and 101 acres will be allocated for commercial use.
The community will include two amenity centers featuring pools, gyms, tennis courts, and pickleball courts, as well as two school sites on 22- and 19-acre parcels. Verdancia will feature four or five public parks, open green spaces, and walking trails.
“Verdancia is more than a housing development; it’s a vibrant, master-planned community created to foster connection, convenience, and comfort,” said Justin Chapman, president at Hunt Communities. “Our goal is to provide residents with a modern, balanced life where green spaces meet stylish homes, and families thrive alongside robust commercial and educational options.”
Hunt Communities’ legacy of excellence is reflected in the attention to detail, from crafting beautiful homes to curating exceptional community events that bring people together. Beyond luxurious living, Verdancia aims to serve as a model for cohesive urban planning—where residential, commercial, and social infrastructure seamlessly coexist.
