Residents of Edmonds, Washington, have been receiving hoax letters on the letterhead of the city government announcing their property is being seized to shelter illegal immigrants.
The letters begin with this warning: “Upon the Biden administration’s suspending private property ownership rights to establish emergency housing due to the migrant crisis, The Edmonds City Council has passed a resolution establishing boundaries of temporary housing for the next 12 to 36 months.”
The letters outlined how residents needed to reconfigure their property to shelter the illegals while insisting the property seizures were “not reviewable to an appeal process.”
Of course, the Biden administration has not suspended private property ownership rights, and the Edmonds city government took to Facebook to assure residents that their properties were not being seized.
“We want to assure you that nothing in this letter is factual and it was not sent out from the City,” said the Facebook message from city officials.
Some of these Trump supporters will stop at nothing to trick people.
And you don’ think the Russian, Chinese or North Korean governments have anything to do with it? Many times there is no way to know who is doing this stuff. My opinion is that much of it is done by solo folks and not necessarily orchestrated by a candidate or political party although I understand your suspicion.
To quote putin: ” We don’t need to interject into your elections. You have your own democrats to blame for the ills.” So stop blaming it on another country when our own is a sinking ship.
I don’t believe it’s necessarily a Trump supporter. Much more like someone wanting to cause problems and stir the proverbial pot. The affixed the current presidents name to make it seem official since the migrant issue is a current administration issue. Clearly the trick isn’t working because people were intelligent enough to question it.
This is just the beginning and will only worsen up until the election. Then after the election it will start again, since the next ampaigning starts up right after the last election. Considering that many people may not take the time to filter out lies from truth, plus ppl have a tendency to look for reinforcement for their beliefs, this is a very real assault on our democracy.
While this is a hoax doesn’t mean it isn’t the plan. They are trying to make housing a right which means government is going to dictate housing over time.
