A total of 10,265 homes were sold in New York State during October, up 3.2% from the 9,949 homes sold one year earlier.
According to data from the New York State Association of Realtors, pending home sales were up 2.9% from the 9,795 accepted offers in October 2024 to 10,082 posted last month. New listings inched up 0.4%, rising from 12,590 in October 2024 to 12,637 new homes hitting the market last month.
Housing inventory reached 30,213 available properties in October, up 2.1% from the 29,586 homes on the market one year earlier. This marks eight straight months of expanding supply across the Empire State.
The median sales price was also on the rise, reaching $431,000 last month, a 5.1% year-over-year gain from $410,000 in October 2024.
