The Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS), an association of 231 multiple listing services serving over 1.8 million combined subscribers, announced the appointment of Jessica Edgerton as its next CEO, effective July 1.

Edgerton is currently chief legal officer and executive vice president of industry and learning at Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRe). Earlier in her career, she was executive vice president of operations and corporate counsel at the National Association of Realtors and chief legal officer at US Appraisal Group Inc.

Edgerton succeeds Denee Evans, who stepped down on May 31 after leading CMLS for over a decade.

“Jessie joins CMLS with deep experience across organized real estate and a global perspective on the value of the MLS,” said the association in a LinkedIn announcement. “In her work with LeadingRE, she served more than 500 brokerages across 70 countries, many of which operate in markets without an MLS system. That experience gives her a clear view of what makes the MLS so essential: complete, accurate, and trusted information that creates context, supports informed decisions, and makes the market work. Please join us in welcoming Jessie to CMLS.”
