The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) has named Jim Dinegar as its new CEO, effective May 1. He replaced Robert Thornburgh, who stepped down to become regional president of the Southwest Region at Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK).

Dinegar brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in member organizations. During his career, he served as president of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, director of American University’s Center for Business in the Capital, chief operating officer of the American Institute for Architects and chairman of the advisory board of the Smithsonian National Zoo. He served on the boards of the Close-Up Foundation, Goodwill Industries of Greater Washington, the Non-Profit Roundtable, Leadership Greater Washington and United Way of the National Capital Area.
