The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has appointed Jonathan Waclawski as senior vice president and general counsel.
Waclawski replaces Katie Johnson, who stepped down last October in the aftermath of the Sitzer/Burnett settlement. Waclawski previously worked at NAR from 2017 to 2022, rising to the position of senior political compliance counsel and director of legal affairs. Earlier in his career, he was general counsel for former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s unsuccessful 2016 presidential campaign, and he also held legal positions with the Republican Party of Wisconsin and the law firm of Holtzman Vogel.
NAR did not issue a press release on Waclawski’s appointment, which he announced on LinkedIn.
WTF NAR??? No announcement???
being open and transparent isn’t an NAR hallmark. Note the national lawsuit settlement. I think NAR has long outlived its usefulness.
Is this the swan song for the end of NAR, this guy has seen lots of losses in politics now it’s time for nonprofit for the agents NAR. good riddance and goodbye to NAR. bye bye
sic Elon on them…..see what happens…..
NAR Non-Member Voting Entity, not worth supporting! If this lawyer wants to accomplish anything, he should withdraw that settlement. Let’s go to the mat or dissolve the NAR one of the two!!! When an association organized and paid for by members, does not allow it members to have a voice, a discussion or even a vote on a matter that will affect its entire business, It should be banished!
