Kentucky Realtors has announced the expansion of its flood relief funding following the continued severe weather and flooding this month.

WYMT reports the additional $100,000 in relief funding covers one month of housing expenses up to a maximum of $1,000 per household. The funds can be used toward mortgage or rental payments and lodging assistance for those displaced by the flooding. The deadline for applications is May 30.

The new funding is being provided separately from previous $275,000 in grants allocated through the Kentucky Realtor Relief Foundation. Residents who received assistance in the initial round of grants are not eligible to reapply for the new grants. Funds from the initial grant round are still available, with applications being accepted through April 30.
