The president of the Las Vegas Realtors is refusing to resign after the organization’s board of directors voted to demand he step down.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal, sourcing its coverage from unnamed “multiple sources,” reports the board voted 6-5 last week to call on President George Kypreos to relinquish his leadership role. Kypreos, who runs the brokerage GK Properties, was recently named in a class action lawsuit against Zillow that accused the Seattle-headquartered brokerage of deploying “anticompetitive” and “predatory practices” against homebuyers and sellers that resulted in inflated home prices.
The lawsuit alleged that Kypreos conspired with Zillow to obtain clients, garner hidden fees, and steer prospective buyers into expensive mortgages.
Kypreos became the president of the organization in January after Joshua Campa, Las Vegas Realtors’ elected president, resigned after two days of his term amid claims of election tampering. Kypreos’ term runs through 2026.
