How many of us have experienced financial hardship due to circumstances beyond our control? Job markets, education and experience levels, family dynamics, and health all impact our earning ability. In such circumstances, housing choice vouchers may be a viable option, but only if landlords are willing to accept them.
In a housing market in which the rental vacancy rate is near zero and rents are escalating, House Bill (HB) 1291 hopes to level the playing field, giving voucher holders a fair chance to find a place to live.
