The Malibu, California-based site of a former rehabilitation center that received international attention for treating celebrities dealing with addiction, exhaustion and other self-induced health issues has been listed for sale at $19.9 million.

PopCrush.com reported the 3.04-acre Promises Malibu property consists of three homes encompassing 9,100 square feet, with a total of 12 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The property includes a tennis court and pool and the listing noted that a buyer could combine the estate with an adjacent property for a total of 6.5 acres.

Elements Behavioral Health Inc., the Long Beach, California-based owner of the Promises Malibu treatment center, filed for bankruptcy in 2018. During its heyday, the venue was an entertainment news staple – among the A-listers arriving for treatments were Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen, Britney Spears, Ben Affleck, Diana Ross and Robert Downey Jr.

But just how efficient Promises Malibu was to their wellness was a matter of debate. “Partridge Family” star Danny Bonaduce, who sought treatment for his alcohol addiction, once told ABC News, “They charged me more than $40,000 for my stay and I drank on the way home. But Malibu was beautiful. I remember thinking that if this place had a bar, it would be fantastic.”
