Keller Williams announced the return of Mark Willis as CEO.
Willis served as the Austin-based company’s president from 2002 to 2005 and as CEO from 2005 to 2015. He continued to own company franchises after stepping down in 2015 and post-leadership work included the founding of a nutritional supplement company and the running of a foundation focused on supporting cancer detection programs.
Last year, KW successfully obtained a restraining order that prevented Willis from joining rival eXp Realty. Willis rejoined the KW executive team as a strategic consultant in July.
“We are excited to announce that Mark Willis has joined our leadership team as CEO,” said Gary Keller, co-founder and executive chairman of KW. “With a deep knowledge of our company and our culture, Mark is well-suited to lead us through our next growth phase. With so much uncertainty surrounding the real estate industry today, it’s never been more important to have a leader who thoroughly knows us and understands business at the highest level.”
I would love to know the size of the check Garry Kerrer signed to get Willis back.
That would be good after the heat of the restraining order…
that company is going through interesting times.
