A Mississippi real estate agent was identified as being the angry man in a viral video who aggressively confronted a young father who accompanied his two daughters into an empty women’s restaurant in an Alabama QuikTrip gas station.
In the video that was posted earlier this week, Tyler Brodsky escorted his daughters into the empty women’s restroom because the venue lacked a designated family restroom. Another man saw this and created a commotion, yelling at Brodsky and blocking the restroom door while calling the police. Brodsky’s daughters became visibly upset over the encounter. The store manager intervened, and the police officers who arrived at the scene ordered the angry man to leave.
A video of the encounter spread across social media and an online hunt identified Robert Buckner as the man who was berating Brodsky. Several websites identified him as a real estate agent with Overstreet Properties of Starkville, Mississippi, and the company was alerted to the video by online denizens.
Overstreet Properties issued a statement saying Buckner was a “former independent contractor” and was no longer affiliated with them. The company added that Buckner’s behavior did not reflect the values and standards “of those who represent our organization.”
Buckner, who also owns a commercial lighting business, has not publicly commented on the video and the attention he received.
