Mother Lode Holding Co., a California-based provider of title insurance, underwriting and escrow services for residential and commercial real estate transactions and a subsidiary of First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF), has acquired Wisconsin Title Service Co. Inc., a Wisconsin-based title insurance agency.
The transaction includes the acquired firm’s sister company Wisconsin Title Closing Service Inc., as well as its title plants in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Walworth and Washington counties. Wisconsin Title Service Co. President Carrie Hoyer and Vice President Mark Ciborowski will continue to lead the company, which will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mother Lode Holding Company.
The financial aspects of the acquisition were not disclosed.
