Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a division of IHG Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: IHG), is teaming with Extell Development Company for the creation of a new hotel at New York City’s Rockefeller Center.
The 33-story Kimpton Rockefeller Center is set to open in late 2025 on West 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. According to the companies, the new hotel will feature 529 guest rooms, two full-service restaurants, a lobby lounge and a rooftop bar. SLCE Architects and interior design studio INC Architecture & Design will create the hotel’s style, which will be Kimpton’s third location in New York City.
