Proof, the Boston-based online notarization provider formerly known as Notarize, has introduced Defend, an AI-powered fraud detection product.
The company pointed out that $81 billion in losses occur in the U.S. each year because of falsified records, forged signatures, and identity theft. The new product is designed to leverage thousands of data attributes sourced from the Proof platform, credit networks, identity databases, public records, and other proprietary sources to detect more than 100 risk signals and identify fraudulent activity at every stage of the transaction.
Proof said Defend was developed in collaboration with several Fortune 100 customers and will be offered as a paid feature on the Proof platform.
