The $4 a share bid was reported on Friday by Bloomberg in coverage sourced from unnamed “people with knowledge of the matter.” Douglas Elliman’s stock was at $2.90 per share ahead of today’s trading activity.

Neither company has publicly commented on the report. Douglas Elliman has roughly $1 billion in annual revenues while Anywhere – which owns the Century 21, Corcoran, and Sotheby’s brands – has annual revenues of around $6 billion.
