Female real estate agents in Florida’s Tampa Bay are dealing with a highly unusual problem – a man who shows up at their open houses and conspires to find an excuse to touch or caress their feet.
WFLA.com interviewed agent Angela Julian, who encountered the foot fetish fiend last summer.
“He looked around the house, asked questions, asked me to show him the backyard,” Julian said. “So, I showed him the backyard. Then he proceeded to tell me that I had an ant on my foot, and I started hopping around trying to figure out where the ant was. I didn’t see an ant, but he kept telling me that it went behind my shoe. And so, he started to unbuckle my shoe and caress my foot.” Julian said.
Julian added that she learned other female agents working in the market have experienced the same unpleasant experience.
“There are multiple women realtors that have been experiencing and have had these encounters with this same man,” she continued. “At least 12 of us that we know, spanning as far back as July of last year and as recent as April 12.”
Local police have not identified any suspects, although they issued a warning for agents to be alert of foot-focused men at their open houses and to report suspicious activity.
