Nadeem Meghji is stepping down as the global head of Blackstone Real Estate, according to Wall Street Journal coverage sourced from unnamed “people familiar with the matter.”

The Journal’s report stated Meghi was leaving so he could spend more time with his family.

In 2024, Meghji was named co-head of global real estate with Kathleen McCarthy, who left the company last year. Earlier, he was head of Real Estate Americas at Blackstone.

The company is replacing Meghi with David Levine, who succeeded Meghi as head of Real Estate Americas, and Giovanni Cutaia, who was president of the real estate business. Each has been at Blackstone for at least 12 years.

“Despite this departure, we have a business with an enormous amount of continuity and tremendous talent,” said Jonathan Gray, president of Blackstone (NYSE: BK). “And David and Gio are prime examples of that.”
