The Hollywood Hills estate of the late fitness guru Richard Simmons has been listed for sale for $6.9 million.
According to the Robb Report, the 4,199-square-foot residence was built in 1937 above the Sunset Strip and features four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a gym that still retains its Keiser exercise equipment. The 0.56-acre property includes a circular pool and adjacent pool house plus a detached two-car garage.
Simmons acquired the property for $670,000 in the early 1980s when his celebrity status began to rise. He passed away last July one day after his 76th birthday, and listing agent John A. Lucy of Keller Williams Hollywood Hills is marketing the property as a “one-of-a-kind opportunity to own a landmark home or construct a new masterpiece.”
