Detroit-based Rocket Companies Inc. (NYSE:RKT) announced the expansion of its board of directors from seven to eight with the addition of CEO Varun Krishna to serve as a Class III director.

Krishna’s directorship became effective on Dec. 21 for a term expiring at the company’s 2026 annual meeting of stockholders. Krishna joined Rocket on Sept. 5 and was previously executive vice president and general manager of the consumer group of Intuit Inc.

In addition to Krishna, the Rocket board consists of company founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert; President and Chief Operating Officer Bill Emerson; Jennifer Gilbert, founder and CEO of Amber Engine and founder and creative director of PopHouse; Matthew Rizik, CEO of Rock Ventures; Suzanne Shank, co-founder, president and CEO of Siebert Williams Shank & Co.; Nancy Tellem, executive chairwoman of Eko; and Jonathan Mariner, founder and president of TaxDay LLC.
