The Hong Kong-headquartered Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is expanding its Caribbean presence with a new resort planned for the Bahamas.
The planned Rosewood Exuma will be developed in partnership with Yntegra Group, a Miami-based private investment company. The resort will be located on a 124-acre private island referred to as East Sampson Cay within the Exumas, a 365-island archipelago. Rosewood Exuma will comprise 33 suites with beachfront views, and the resort will include six unique food and beverage outlets showcasing local delicacies, including ingredients grown from the resort’s organic garden. Amenities will include a hydrotherapy facility, outdoor tranquil pool, fitness center, and an outdoor sports center featuring tennis, padel and pickleball courts, as well as watersports equipment.
The companies added they will only develop 25% of the island’s 124 acres and will use initiatives including solar powered energy sources to minimize impact to the island. The new resort is slated for a 2028 opening.
