While many professionals acknowledge that a financially lucrative career can be found in the real estate industry, Lee Shau Kee has taken that notion to a chart-topping high. According to a new study published by Insider Monkey, the 96-year-old Hong Kong executive is the real estate industry’s richest billionaire.

Lee is the co-founder of the Hong Kong real estate and property development company Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (OTC:SUHJY). His current net worth is $28.3 billion, and he is no stranger to occupying top rankings in lists of business billionaires – last month, he ranked second in CEOWorld’s list of Hong Kong’s richest people and 63rd in Forbes’ list of the world’s richest people.
