The Pasadena, California-based estate that gained pop culture immortality for doubling as stately Wayne Manor in the 1960s TV series “Batman” is on the market for $32 million.
Built in 1928, the 18,655-square-foot Jacobean Tudor Revival mansion features seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, along with a private theater. The 4.84-acre property also comes with a pool and a pickleball court.
However, the residence doesn’t feature a Batcave. Only the exterior of the property was featured as an establishing shot for the Bruce Wayne sequences on “Batman,” while the show’s interior sequences were shot in a studio. The property has also been used as a location for other notable productions, including “Rush Hour” and “Bridesmaids.”
The listing represents a flip, as the property sold last July for $20.5 million, a new record for Pasadena’s housing market. It is unclear what sparked the new sale or if any upgrades were made to the property over the past 12 months.
Really, the house has jumped in value 11.5 Million in 12 months??? renovations, couldn’t be more than 2 million. in closing, somebody is gonna get hosed on this deal.
