The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) has promoted Wil W. Osborn to president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.
Osborn will succeed Kristina K. Williams, who announced in January her intention to retire after leading the bank since January 2020.
Osborn currently serves as the bank’s chief business officer. Prior to joining FHLB Des Moines in 2020, he as senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, a position he held since 2010. Earlier in his career, he served in various investment management and performance measurement roles in the banking and credit union industry.
“Stepping into the role as president and CEO is incredibly meaningful to me and I’m honored to lead the bank in its mission of supporting both the success of our members and housing affordability,” Osborn said. “Since joining the bank six years ago, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, and I’m excited to continue working alongside our dedicated FHLB Des Moines team.”
