Wisconsin recorded 7,768 home sales in June, a 5.9% year-over-year increase, while year-to-date sales were up 3.7% compared to the first half of last year.
According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA), the statewide median price was also up 5.9% year-over-year in June, reaching $360,000. On a year-to-date measurement, the median price increased 6.3% to $340,000 relative to the first six months of 2025.
“In a typical year, June is the strongest month for closings, so it was good to see a healthy bounce in June sales, which led to a solid first half for the year,” said WRA President and Chairman Tom Larson. “While affordability remains a challenge for first-time buyers, higher inventory helps grow sales and also helps moderate price appreciation. Hopefully these trends continue throughout the second half of 2026.”
The state’s 4.2 months of inventory recorded in June were unchanged from the previous year, while new listings were up 4.8%, and total listings were 3.3% higher from June 2025. Homes sold faster last month versus one year earlier, with the statewide average days on the market falling to just 66 days, a 4.3% year-over-year decrease.
