Florida Realtors is devoting this month to its annual “Clean Up Florida Waters” initiative.
In 2024, 141 events were held as part of the Clean Up Florida Waters effort. These events spanned 185 miles and included 3,040 participants who logged a collective 520 volunteer hours and removed over 32 tons of trash from the state’s waterways and coastlines– a 41% year-over-year increase in debris removal.
“Realtors know that our beautiful beaches and outstanding waterways are one of the major reasons so many people love to live in – and visit – the Sunshine State,” said 2025 Florida Realtors President Tim Weisheyer, broker-owner at Dream Builders Realty and dbrCommercial Real Estate Services in Central Florida. “We know every one of us can make a difference. Working together, we can help preserve our waterways so that everyone can enjoy them now and for future generations.”
