The Canadian government announced it is allocating over $45 million through the Apartment Construction Loan Program (ACLP) into the construction of an Ottawa complex with 121 new rental homes.
The Bayview Wateridge development is located in the Rockcliffe community within a few minutes of downtown Ottawa. The project is being developed by the Bayview Group and will encompass a six-story building with parking spaces, a 24/7 fitness center and outdoor amenities.
“Our government is committed to driving housing supply to bring housing costs down,” said Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Gregor Robertson. “This project will create more much-needed rental homes for the people living and working in Ottawa. It’s an example of what’s possible when government and the private sector work together. It’s also another step forward in our bold, ambitious plan to build Canada strong.”
