Ralph O. McDaniel, a prominent figure in the Arkansas real estate industry, passed away on Dec. 24 at the age of 82.
McDaniel was born on Nov. 15, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from Fuller High School in 1961 and then attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
He began his real estate career in 1971 when he joined his mother, Julia Mae McDaniel, who founded McDaniel Realty Company is 1958. In 1974, he opened a second office in Little Rock called McDaniel & Company Realtors.
McDaniel served as president of the Little Rock Realtors Association in 1988 and also served on the Legislative Committee for the Arkansas Realtors Association, where he was also a Realtor Political Action Committee Trustee. He held numerous professional designations including the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), and a Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI).
Outside of real estate, he was appointed to serve on the board for Little Rock’s East End Water Department, where he served for 20 years.
